Our History
Founded in 1946, the Eng Wah Group’s business spans entertainment, properties, hospitality, and lifestyle in Singapore and Malaysia. The Group manages a portfolio of brands that include WE Cinemas, Hotel Fort Canning, Jubilee Square, 321 Clementi, The Legends Fort Canning Park, and The Legends Golf & Country Resort.

Our Philosophy
WE Cinemas is a new cinema experience. Founded in the 1940s and previously known as Eng Wah Cinemas, it is a leading film exhibitor and distributor. It is the first cinema operator to launch the world’s first full 2K (HD) Digital Cinema, and is also the first to commercially screen 3D digital movies in 2008. The cineplexes are outfitted with the latest cinematic sound technology to thrill the most discerning movie goers – Digital Dolby, Digital Theatre Sound (DTS), Special Recording Dolby Sound Digital (SRD), and Sony Dynamic Digital Sound (SDDS).
